Kasey Steinbrinck
Kasey brings the experience of writing for the news to the table. He spent five years working as a TV news producer in Green Bay, Wisconsin and also had gigs writing for a newspaper, producing programming for syndicated radio and even some local late night television.
Writing helpful content for consumers and thought-provoking articles on the economy comes easy for Kasey, but he’s also been able to provide stories and lessons from his own life regarding personal finances (especially the lessons he’s learned the hard way).
Kasey is married to a beautiful woman who he was unable to completely cut out of the photo above. They have two young sons who are on their way to becoming rock stars, and a neurotic dog who really needs a walk.

Janice Conard
Janice Conard is a seasoned copywriter with more than a decade’s experience in web content creation. Before joining Check Advantage, she led email marketing efforts for the business and technology sites BNET, ZDNet and TechRepublic.com.
When Janice isn’t at the keyboard, she enjoys making frivolous art objects out of paper, fabric and clay.
Karen Stewart
Karen Stewart is a native of western Kentucky and has been an inhabitant of Green Bay, Wisconsin since 2008.
A attorney licensed in Kentucky and Wisconsin, Karen has been picking up the pieces of her clients’ legal catastrophies since 1986. In addition to her experience as a private practitioner, Karen spent four years as a staff attorney for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Louisville and three years as a Domestic Relations Commissioner in Jefferson (Ky.) Family Court. This has given her a unique perspective on such uplifting topics as debt, death and divorce.
When she is able to put the law out of her mind temporarily, Karen enjoys southern cooking, digital photography and exploring the stunningly beautiful and unique environs of Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. As a native of the South, Karen finds ice fishing humorous.
She has been practicing sarcasm since 1956, when she entered First Grade.
Mike Dolen
Mike Dolen is the founder of Credit Card Forum, which is a discussion board about using credit responsibly. He also regularly contributes to Check Advantage with helpful and honest credit card reviews.
Mike learned how to manage credit and dig his way out of debt after a car crash at 18 years-old left him with massive medical bills.
